Difference between a tent & awning?
Not
much, here's a basic "rule of thumb".
| Tents & Canopies -
basically the same structure; "Tent" is
used more often for utilitarian uses and "Canopy" is used for
professional and sales uses; but the construction remains a
free-standing frame with covering provided.. |

Awnings -
traditionally attached to buildings
providing shade for windows, doorways and storefronts. They can also be
free-standing; almost a half of a tent or canopy
with a downward slant of coverage provided. |
